FAQ - We love when you message us while playing Vex!

Q: When you play Pierce and give someone a card, can they look at the card?
A: No! Absolutely not!
Exception: In "house rules" you might allow for young kids to peek.

Q: What does Sersie do?
A: Nothing.  She causes no pain and is worth no points.  She can just sit blissfully in your tray.  Meanwhile other players may think you have more points than you do.

Q: Can you "mirror" or match discarded character cards?
A: Yes, and you also will complete the action of that character.  For instance if you mirror a Calista, both/all players discarding her will be able to look at one card.

Q: What do the dots at the bottom of the numbers mean?
A: That's just our fun way of being redundant. The six dots and the nine dots will help solve the age old question; "Is that a six?"

Q: If you accidentally throw Vorian, what does she do?
A: Nothing. There is no threat to defend so you just lose her.  We'll shed a tear for you.

Q: If you pick up Vorian from the draw pile after Vex has been called, what do you do?
A: First, let's address the unasked question - NO, she can't cancel Vex.  That boat has sailed, my friend.  If it were us, we'd discard her since she is worth TWENTY points. But you can put her in your tray if you want to. You do you.

Q: Can Calista only look at one of my own cards?
A: Nope, she can peek at a card including one from anyone's tray.

Q: What do you do if you go through all the cards in the draw pile?
A: This can happen when you are playing with 5 or 6 people and the dealer deals the max number of cards.  But, never fear, just shuffle the discard pile and flip them over as the draw pile.  Some have asked if the draw pile then has all bad cards.  Not a chance!  Those bad boys include every character card and every low card that was accidentally thrown previously.  It will be just as fun and exciting!

Q: Does Jinx swap 2 cards total or two from my tray and two from someone else's?
A: He can only swap two cards total.  Our favorite strategy is to watch which card is being "protected" by a player and then switch for that one.  But also it's fun to mess up your friends and just trade other's card and keep your own precious cards.
